The Intersect Group Sponsors the First IIA Atlanta Chapter Internal Audit Case Competition
Competition to be held at Georgia State University
ATLANTA—November 2, 2011—The Intersect Group, a national finance, accounting and information technology staffing and consulting firm will sponsor the first Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Internal Audit Case Competition on November 11th at Georgia State University.
This will be the first time for the Atlanta chapter of the IIA to present an internal audit case competition and the competition will be hosted by Georgia State University.
Case studies will provide students studying accounting and finance at Georgia colleges and universities with the opportunity to compete against one another and gain real-world experience while networking with other leaders from their chosen field of study. The top 10 teams chosen to present their cases the day of the audit competition will be paired with a leader in Atlanta's internal audit community to serve as a lead resource, providing professional guidance throughout the process.
To support the effort to develop local talent, The Intersect Group will be the sponsor of a reception following the competition. The reception will feature hor d'oeuvres and drinks for guests while awaiting the judge's final deliberation and the announcement of the winner of the case competition.

The case study competition aims to drive interest in internal audit as a profession for undergraduate and graduate accounting and finance students.
