The Intersect Group Sponsors the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta Annual Golf Tournament
Golf tournament raised more than $100,000 for the organization
ATLANTA—December 12, 2011— On September 26, 2011, The Intersect Group, a national finance, accounting and information technology staffing and consulting firm, along with numerous other corporate sponsors, participated in the Annual Charity Golf Tournament at TPC Sugarloaf, benefiting the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta.
This year, the tournament raised more than $100,000 for the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta. An impressive feat, as many companies are continuing to sit on their cash reserves and operate on smaller budgets following the recent recession.
The Salvation Army Boys & GIrls Clubs of Greater Atlanta strive to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta are concentrated in the most depressed and economically challenged areas of our city. In many situations, the clubs represent the only positive influence that the organization's 2,500 young people will see in their daily lives.
The Intersect Group's Bill Price, director of business development, is actively involved with the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Atlanta as a member of the organization's board.
