Atlanta-based firm reports 40 percent growth
ATLANTA—February 17, 2009—The Intersect Group, the premier provider of finance & accounting and information technology consulting and staffing services to Atlanta companies, today announced record results for 2008. The company achieved $19.3 million in revenue for the year ended December 31, 2008, up 40 percent over the prior year. Additionally, The Intersect Group doubled its number of full time employees in 2008, and finished the year with more than 155 billable employees and consultants, putting it on track to be among Atlanta’s fastest growing companies. As a result of this rapid growth, the company recently expanded its Atlanta headquarters to accommodate its continued growth both locally as well as in new geographies.
Founded in 2006, The Intersect Group has assembled a team of experienced leaders and continues to broaden its portfolio of services. In 2008 The Intersect Group launched its mobile applications service line, Mobilesect, which provides strategic consulting and application development for clients requiring mission-critical applications on broadband mobile devices. Also in 2008, The Intersect Group formalized another consulting service line addressing financial fraud and enterprise governance for clients needing internal audit and forensic accounting consulting.
Intersect’s staffing services division continued its explosive growth by maintaining intense focus on providing quality information technology and finance & accounting professionals to over 300 clients in the Atlanta market.
