JOB TITLE: Controller, SEC Reporting

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for managing all aspects of accounting functions including, but not limited to, timely and accurate external and internal financial reporting, month end closes including consolidation of US and Foreign subsidiaries, international accounting and finance issues, stock based compensation, and ensuring all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP.
- Directing all aspects of accounting operations and oversees the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.
- Lead the audit process of financial information provided to Accounting by Finance and Operations Departments within the Company.
- Implementing new accounting standards in compliance with U.S. GAAP, and SEC Regulations.
- Ensure compliance with SEC financial reporting rules and regulations.
- Completion of SEC filings, as required.
- Management of internal control, policies, process and procedures as they relate to the Accounting department.
- Insuring timely, consistent and accurate completion of month-end close.
- Managing and leading a staff of approximately 30 people (Direct and Indirect).
- Plan and direct the functions of general ledger, consolidation, cost accounting, accounts payable, expense reimbursement and external reporting for the Company world-wide.
- Manage the company's relationship and interface with the independent accountants when required at unit level.
- Manage the Company’s relationship and interface with the independent accountants including running the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
- Assist with various special projects on an ad-hoc basis as time permits. Such projects may include merger, acquisition, due diligence and integration activities; policy and procedure creation; review of significant and unusual revenue contracts, etc.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- A thorough understanding of current GAAP and SEC regulations and an accounting degree with 12+ years of experience is required
- CPA a must
- Experience in a Big 4 firm highly preferred
- Experience with a US based multinational company and public company experience is a must
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to international accounting standards and requirements a plus
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and cultivate internal working relationships & ability to work across all functions/levels as part of a team
