Marketing Technical Specialist

The Intersect Group is seeking a Marketing Technical Specialist to work remotely for our client located in Alpharetta, Georgia. The Marketing Technical Specialist will manage and develop the tactical execution of digital marketing plans and campaigns spanning all business units and internal divisions. The Marketing Technical Specialist will work on the Corporate Marketing team and will function closely with graphic designers, content authors, company executives and thought leaders, as well as external vendors and agencies.

Responsibilities of the Marketing Technical Specialist          

  • Execute all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, and email campaign development and deployment via Pardot marketing automation system
  • Manage and build various email lists and campaigns, including the design templates, calls-to-action, and content used in email sends. Lists should be segmented and prioritized based on data (e.g., content downloads, site page visits, etc.). Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of email sends
  • Maintain website and optimize for performance
  • Track performance across digital channels and optimize approaches to meet marketing team goals (e.g., conversion, engagement)
  • Develop documentation and roadmaps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email
  • Manage SEO performance
  • Proactively scope and present new ideas to improve the website experience for prospects, leads, and customers
  • Meets deadlines and continues to seek improvements while maintaining the highest standards of quality
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates, senior management, designers, and other project stakeholders

Requirements of the Marketing Technical Specialist   

  • Strong background with Pardot and Salesforce                                
  • Problem solver- proactive and flexible in working across the organization to improve our site’s experience & action
  • Understands marketing automation, landing page and form creation, and the ability to create and maintain data flows between Pardot and SFDC
  • 3+ years of hands-on marketing operations execution in demand generation, email, marketing automation and reporting
  • 3+ years working with marketing automation/email marketing platforms
  • Manage technical requests of our marketing systems: Pardot, SFDC
  • Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing activities, effectiveness, and business impact
  • Understanding of lead management processes and technologies
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
  • Bonus experience and skills include WordPress, demand generation marketing, inbound marketing, and blogging              
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data (e.g., A/B testing, email optimization)
  • Excellent writer and communicator (in both written and verbal form)
  • Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and/or web analytics
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience with executing email campaigns in a marketing automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot), preferred
  • HTML knowledge; the ability to troubleshoot simple email HTML errors, preferred
  • Manage and support the marketing technology stack with an emphasis on Pardot, serving as the primary Pardot administrator: overseeing the development, implementation and ongoing management of marketing automation processes including the buyer’s journey and lead processes
  • Super-user of marketing automation systems (Pardot / Salesforce), lead scoring and analytics tools, preferred
  • Strong understanding of Google Ads and other digital marketing tools, preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience leveraging Marketing Automation and Digital engagement platforms with a proven track record driving impact, preferred
