Automation Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and support process automation to improve system efficiencies.
- Serve as the core automation expert on cross-functional project development teams, contributing technical knowledge and solutions.
- Maintain and configure core banking applications at the OS-level, ensuring smooth operation and performance.
- Ensure the availability of system components, including internal devices, APIs, and network automation systems.
- Provide 24/7 tier 2 support for the core operations team, including backup tier 3 support as needed.
- Assist in executing application failover and release update procedures.
- Collaborate with internal and vendor teams to manage relations for network and hardware support, particularly for automation systems.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on core banking hardware and software technologies.
- Provide documentation support to ensure clear records of processes and configurations.
- Mentor the Core Operations team, sharing expertise and guiding them in the effective use of automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Power Architecture and associated Operating Systems (AIX).
- 2+ years of experience with core banking automation systems.
- 4+ years of experience with core banking data systems and operations supporting key financial business processes.
- Familiarity with Bank Secrecy Act regulations and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Scripting experience using legacy configuration editors such as “VI”.
- Automation development experience with SMA Technologies OpCon system.
- Experience with Jack Henry and/or Symitar systems, specifically Symitar.
