The Intersect Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Billing Specialist, with one of our clients within the Construction field.  This position prepares and submits invoices for  multiple clients on a monthly basis according to contract terms and company policy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Verify project billing requirements including due dates  
  • Work with project managers to ensure billings are complete, accurate, and timely. Create necessary support documentation such as schedule of values and AlA forms.  
  • Makes sure that lien releases have been requested timely and attached to the invoice prior to  submitting the invoice  
  • Work with Project Managers to collect estimate progress billings.  Ensure billings are complete, accurate and timely  
  • Submit invoices electronically to the client or thru a third-party payment management system such as  Textura, Procore, GCPay, or l-Beam
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the team to ensure that potential billing issues or  payment delays are properly escalated and resolved  Follow-up with client to make sure that the billing is approved  
  • Maintain billing log and prepare retention billing at end of project.  
  • Assisting with prevailing wage payroll reporting as needed.
  • Knowledge of LCPTracker a plus  

Requirements:  

  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and able to create and work in spreadsheets
  • Must have experience with using formulas, linking sheets/cells, and filters. We do not use pivot tables  charts, or macros.  
  • Must be able to multi-task, be extremely organized and have excellent communication skills.  
  • Background in construction industry is preterred, but with strong Excel and Billing Experience, not mandatory

Benefits:  

  • Vacation: Accrued based on hours worked as follows: 40 hours for the first 2,000 work hours and 80  hours for every 2,000 hours after. 120 hours for every 2,000 hours after 12,000 hours worked  
  • Holiday: Mark Company has (7) paid holidays. New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day,  Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day  
  • Sick Day: Accrued based on hours worked as follows: 0.012 hours accrued per 1 hour worked. (3 sick  days accrued per 2000 hours worked)  
  • Health Insurance: Health insurance benefits are available on the 1st of the month following a 60-day  waiting period. Mark Company will pay 50% of the medical insurance premium. Mark Company pay  nothing towards the premiums for any dependents. Dental and Vision insurance is also available for  minimal premium. 401K: Eligible to join after 6 months. Mark Company will match the first 4% that an employee  contributes into their 401K and are 100% vested in the 401k match immediately
