Infrastructure Engineer
Job Description: Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) – Projects Team
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (Windows) to join our client's Projects Team. This role is responsible for delivering and ensuring that global infrastructure projects, including office, branch, datacenter, and client environments, meet high standards and align with company policies. The primary focus is on managing and deploying Windows Server and Azure AVS environments across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Act as the technical lead for service management processes during project delivery, serving as the escalation point for process owners and managing relationships with outsourced partners.
Global Alignment: Ensure project execution aligns with global roadmaps and strategies, working closely with teams in AMER, EMEA, and Asia.
Technical Execution: Deliver engineering excellence in projects, ensuring smooth transitions to operational support (BAU) and adherence to company policies and standards.
Collaboration: Work with a small projects team and partner with outsourced MSPs to update and manage branch network and datacenter infrastructure.
Security and Compliance: Ensure projects align with security standards, including ISO27001, and adhere to ITIL practices.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
Experience:
Extensive experience in server administration and deployments across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, particularly Windows Server and Azure AVS.
Experience managing infrastructure and network at a large corporate scale, with a strong background in working with outsourced partners.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency with key products such as Active Directory, Cisco servers, VMWare, Palo Alto, NetBackup, Nasuni, Windows, Azure AVD, and AVS.
Practical knowledge of firewalls, WAN/LAN solutions, Wireless, and general IT operations.
Qualifications:
Degree in IT or a related field.
ITIL qualification or strong exposure to ITIL practices.
Working knowledge of the SDLC and supporting application frameworks.
