Manager, Tax and Treasury- Global

The Intersect Group has an exciting opening for a Manager, Tax and Treasury, for a rapidly growing Med Tech company.  This role will be responsible for leading U.S. and international tax planning and overseeing the general financial management of the company. Reporting to the CFO, the Manager, Tax & Treasury will manage and run all Global Tax processes, compliance and advisory work, direct cashflow activities and all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and support on US international tax aspects of  audits and certain foreign country local tax audits
  • Support tax planning activities, acting as a Global Tax Generalist
  • Participates in tax discussions to support initiatives originating in other parts of the business
  • Ensures adherence to corporate tax accounting policies and procedures to proactively identify areas of improvement creating an atmosphere of strong controls and compliance.
  • Monitor tax legislative developments, communicate implications and propose responses
  • Be a key player in the US international tax compliance workflow, including the preparation of U.S. international tax calculations and forms
  • Analyze and review US and non-US deferred tax adjustments to ensure they are documented and reconciled to the general ledger on an annual basis.
  • Stay abreast on emerging tax regulations, legislative changes and industry trends with the ability to translate this to Company relevance
  • Stay informed of major U.S. and non-U.S. tax developments.
  • Coordinates with accounting team to ensure entity accounting is accurate for tax sensitive accounts.
  • Work closely with non-Tax functional areas to review ongoing and new business activities and provide advice on the tax consequences, risks and opportunities.
  • Acts as a Project manager and Advisor for external tax teams
  • Lead global repatriation and cash management planning.
  • Management of all day-to-day banking activities
  • Cash management experience including managing relationships with banks at an operational level
  • Review and propose process improvement in Accounting and Tax to improve the efficiency of work.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or Master of Taxation preferred
  • 5 + years combined public accounting and/or corporate experience with a strong foundation on US international tax technical concepts and related tax reporting experience with international tax planning, cost contribution agreements, and IP valuations
  • Must have strong analytical skills with proven ability to solve multidimensional problems creatively.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with business and functional leaders across the company; and
  • Highest standards of integrity, business controls, and business practices.
