As the HR Coordinator, you will manage benefits administration and leave management for a workforce of over 800 employees. You will play a key role in supporting employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and maintaining accurate HRIS data. This position also serves as a backup for payroll processing and supports audits and open enrollment activities. Your ability to collaborate with leadership, manage sensitive information, and provide responsive support will be essential to the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer employee benefits programs and manage leave of absence processes in compliance with company policy and legal regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and support open enrollment communications.
- Maintain and update the HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and assisting employees with system-related issues.
- Partner with plant leadership to manage employee relations and ensure compliance with FMLA and other employment laws.
- Support audits related to benefits and 401(k) plans.
- Serve as a backup to payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing when needed.
- Track and communicate leave statuses to ensure business continuity across departments.
Key Requirements:
- 4–5 years of HR experience, with a focus on benefits and leave management.
- Strong background in employee relations and knowledge of employment laws, including FMLA.
- Experience working in a plant or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
