In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and delivering both internal and external financial reports, supporting accounting operations, and assisting in technical accounting research. Reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will partner across departments and levels of the organization to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial disclosures. This position is ideal for someone with a foundation in public accounting who is ready to expand their influence within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial statements, footnotes, and related disclosures.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities for technical areas including debt, equity, derivatives, stock-based compensation, and goodwill.
- Collaborate on technical accounting research and memo preparation related to new accounting guidance, significant transactions, and company policies.
- Analyze complex contracts and new initiatives to assess financial reporting implications.
- Support forecasting activities for technical areas such as interest expense, diluted shares, and stock-based compensation.
- Maintain financial reporting documentation and support internal and external audit processes.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements and the development of internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in special projects and ad hoc reporting requests across the organization.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or financial reporting, including public accounting.
- Active CPA license preferred; candidates must have completed all CPA hours and demonstrate strong motivation to complete exams if not yet licensed.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal control principles.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with other systems is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
- Proven ability to research technical accounting issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; ability to partner cross-functionally and present to leadership.
