Director of Accounting – Supply Chain
 
Our client, a leading organization in the healthcare and medical technology space, is seeking a dynamic and experienced accounting leader to join its supply chain finance team. As the Director of Accounting – Supply Chain, you will oversee financial reporting and accounting operations related to General Ledger, Inventory, and Accounts Payable. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX standards. This role will play a critical part in optimizing accounting functions, enhancing inventory management practices, and partnering with operations leaders to support strategic supply chain decisions.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-/quarter-/year-end close processes.
  • Oversee inventory accounting and accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Manage and develop high-performing accounting teams across AP, Inventory, and GL functions.
  • Drive process improvements and implement accounting systems, including ERP optimization.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Customer Operations leaders to support strategic financial initiatives.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, including SOX compliance.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and ensure adherence to all regulatory and policy standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and KPIs to senior leadership.

 
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation is mandatory.
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles across multi-location operations.
  • Experience in public company environments or large public accounting firms auditing public entities.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and regulatory compliance (SEC reporting, SOX).
  • Proven experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud Fusion preferred) and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong business acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Track record of building and mentoring effective accounting teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to partner cross-functionally with executive leadership.
