Network and Systems Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize both physical and virtual infrastructure. This role is responsible for supporting Data Center operations, network monitoring, server administration, and Tier 2/3 technical issue resolution. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Windows and Linux systems, a strong command of networking fundamentals, and hands-on experience with system performance tuning, backups, and disaster recovery. This is a high-impact role that supports the foundation of a secure and efficient IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support and participate in the on-call rotation for infrastructure-related issues
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Administer and support Windows Server and Linux operating systems across physical and virtual environments
- Manage Data Center operations, including hardware deployment, structured cabling, and environmental monitoring
- Perform system backups, implement disaster recovery solutions, and apply routine patches and upgrades
- Support IT hardware across servers, storage systems, and network devices
- Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Utilize monitoring and automation tools to improve system performance and uptime
Key Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows and Linux systems administration
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as LogicMonitor or SolarWinds
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls
- Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, or KVM
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and file/print services
- Experience scripting or automating tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Proven background in Data Center operations, IT hardware support, and infrastructure troubleshooting
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CCNA, or RHCSA
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and tools
