The Intersect Group Volunteers at the 2022 Cristo Rey Draft Day

By Carly Duncan

On August 19th, The Intersect Group (TIG) joined 110 other Atlanta corporations at Cristo Rey High School for the school’s annual “Draft Day.” By the end of the morning, the gymnasium was packed with excitement, confetti, and nearly 500 smiling students who were just drafted as interns.

Cristo Rey in Atlanta is a Jesuit high school focused on enabling students to have lifelong success in a multicultural society by committing to equality in education.

For nine years, The Intersect Group has been a proud sponsor of the Cristo Rey Work Study Program (CRWSP). The work-study program provides students with opportunity to intern with a different company each year they are in high school. This unique privilege allows them to enter life after graduation with up to four years of first-hand experience in the business world.

This year, thirty TIG volunteers ensured the Draft Day event went off without a hitch and welcomed its four newest and youngest members to the company.

The Intersect Group is so excited to have these exceptional students in the Atlanta office. Stay tuned for upcoming blogs introducing each of the TIG interns!
