Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function within a growing shared services environment. This role will be instrumental in standardizing processes across multiple entities, supporting system implementations, and building a high-performing AP team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in job cost accounting, multi-entity operations, and a passion for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounts payable operations across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Field Operations to streamline purchase-to-pay workflows, including PO matching and job cost coding.
- Manage and mentor AP staff, including involvement in hiring, training, and performance management.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure prompt resolution of inquiries and discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce standardized AP procedures and internal controls across the organization.
- Leverage AP automation tools (e.g., Ramp) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the transition of AP functions into the shared services center and assist with change management.
- Partner with Finance and IT teams to optimize ERP and financial systems for AP processes.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including multi-entity or construction-related environments.
- Proven experience managing AP teams and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting and purchase-to-pay workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred).
- Proficiency in Excel and AP automation tools; experience with Ramp or similar platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Viewpoint Spectrum; experience with ServiceTitan is a bonus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
