Director of Accounting and Finance – Distribution
We’re seeking a Director of Accounting and Finance to lead the financial strategy, reporting, and operations for the Distribution business unit. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting to the Vice President of Finance, responsible for overseeing accounts receivable, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. You will serve as a key financial partner to executive leadership, delivering actionable insights and driving performance across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in GAAP, Oracle systems, and financial analysis, along with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead accounts receivable and cash application functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis for the Distribution unit
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, SEC requirements, and SOX controls
- Improve financial visibility through reporting, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership
- Partner cross-functionally to enhance collections, margin analysis, and cost control initiatives
- Manage internal and external audits, implementing and tracking remediation as needed
- Provide financial models to support decision-making, including ROI, IRR, NPV, and capital budgeting
- Lead financial calendar milestones and deliver clear, strategic insights to stakeholders
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, financial controls, and regulatory compliance
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud (Fusion) ERP and EPM modules
- Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to executives
- Demonstrated success in process improvement, change management, and team leadership
- High level of analytical thinking, strategic mindset, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
