IT Infrastructure Architect/System Engineer
Position Overview & Responsibilities:
The Intersect Group is hiring for an IT Infrastructure Architect/IT Systems Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer in Upstate, SC. This position is a contract, with a set duration of up to 3 years. This position required 2 days/week onsite. This person will be a site administrator for the PowerBI platform.
Responsibilities Include:
- Administering PowerBI within the cloud and company infrastructure
- Manager the on-premise environment, as well as the transition into a cloud environment
- On Premise: 65,000 PowerBi users that can access dashboards and reports
- 12 separate environments that provide on-premise PowerBI to all global regions
- Interface with off-shore support team, act as a SME for those teams with various issues
- Guide Technical Topics for PowerBi Platform
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT Infrastructure solutions and platforms (PowerBI) that perform to defined functional and operational expectations
- Serve as the IT architect, admin, and technical lead for service delivery of the scope of the built system by designing, reviewing, and overseeing implementation of end-to-end integrated systems, enterprise data and metadata structures, as well as internal systems, such as product deployment and licensing
Required Skills & Experience:
- Required Education: BS Degree (IT Field Preferred) or the equivalent of 4+ years related experience in Information Technology
- Required Experience: 5+ Years in IT architect and IT Infrastructure Components
- Expert Level in PowerBI Administration (not reporting) with mostly cloud and some on-prem
- Experience in a midsize to large corporation supporting enterprise level business applications (Top 1000 companies in the world would be ideal)
- Understanding and Knowledge of Basic Windows Server Infrastructure and how to login to Azure
- Previous Global Implementation Experience
- Intermediate SQL and PowerShell experience and Knowledge
- Proven Ability to work with Global Process Partners
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience with Jira and Confluence to track activities (familiarity with these programs)
- Experience working in an Kanban environment
- Understanding of IASS and .Net
- Proven Ability to work well with remote resources and guiding remote teams (as well as off-shore providers)
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm or 7 am to 4 pm
May be cased where this person would need to address issues earlier in the morning
Might have to work on weekend of afterhours (Less than 10%)
