Our client is seeking a skilled IT Technician to support both technology infrastructure and safety operations. In this dual-capacity role, the IT Technician will serve as the on-site coordinator for both physical safety/security and IT systems across multiple campuses. The position involves managing help desk support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring cybersecurity and network reliability. Simultaneously, the technician will oversee safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and compliance with state and federal standards. This is a hands-on, high-impact role requiring strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety and security operations across assigned campuses.
- Implement and monitor emergency preparedness plans and safety protocols in alignment with FEMA and state education standards.
- Respond to and resolve IT help desk tickets, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Maintain and support devices across multiple platforms (Windows, Chrome OS, iOS, Android).
- Coordinate with external vendors and IT partners to manage infrastructure and perform system upgrades.
- Support staff and students during state testing and ensure all technology tools are functional.
- Conduct regular audits of IT equipment and assist with inventory management.
- Provide training and support to staff on Google Workspace and classroom technologies.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT systems support, including Windows OS troubleshooting and EMR/EHR support.
- Proven experience in both IT administration and safety/security coordination preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across diverse platforms and devices.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and general desktop/network administration.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-campus environment and respond swiftly to safety concerns.
- Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card required.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Emergency Management, or related field preferred; certifications such as Microsoft Certified IT Professional or Google Certified Trainer are a plus.
