Technical Product Manager
Location: Irving, TX | Type: 6-Month Contract (Extension & Conversion Possible) | Onsite: 5 Days/Week
Company Overview
At The Intersect Group, we connect high-impact professionals with organizations that are transforming their digital and operational capabilities. Our client is a nationally recognized retail leader focused on modernizing financial operations through scalable, data-driven technology. Their mission is to streamline back-office processes and deliver enterprise-grade solutions that support growth, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to support enterprise financial operations and drive the development of complex, back-office technology solutions. This role will serve as a key partner to leadership, helping define product strategy, manage cross-functional execution, and ensure delivery of high-impact features. The ideal candidate is technically fluent, highly organized, and thrives in fast-paced environments with many moving parts.
This is not a delegator role—this is for someone who enjoys being in the weeds, understands the intricacies of financial systems, and can clearly articulate what they’ve built, how it works, and why it matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle for financial operations tools, from discovery through delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, accounting, and operations teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment.
- Translate complex business needs into clear product documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive prioritization and backlog grooming in Agile environments.
- Ensure product solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with financial compliance standards.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite and offshore development teams.
- Support testing, validation, and rollout of new features and enhancements.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the product’s architecture, integrations, and dependencies.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical or financial systems.
- Proven experience supporting complex tech stacks related to accounting, settlement, or financial operations.
- Strong technical fluency and ability to engage directly with engineers and architects.
- Excellent communication skills; confident working with executives, cross-functional teams, and offshore partners.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Must have held consistent product manager titles (not project manager, scrum master, or product owner).
- Career progression should reflect increasing responsibility and depth—not regression to IC roles.
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise retail or e-commerce environments.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, ERP integrations, or financial data pipelines.
- Experience helping structure product operations in large, matrixed organizations.
