Salary: $93,000–$140,000 + Bonus

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Manager to lead critical financial reporting and technical accounting functions. This role ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls, while driving process improvements and supporting strategic initiatives.

As a key contributor, you will manage SEC filings, oversee technical accounting research, and collaborate across departments to implement innovative solutions. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy and transparency of financial reporting for executive leadership and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors on SEC reporting and technical accounting matters.
  • Research and draft technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions.
  • Maintain and update the company’s accounting policy manual and internal control environment under SOX requirements.
  • Monitor and assess new accounting standards and regulatory requirements; implement necessary process changes.
  • Develop and communicate Non-GAAP financial measures for internal and external reporting.
  • Lead process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor 1–3 team members, providing guidance on projects and professional development.

Key Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on SEC reporting and technical accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial reporting systems (Workiva, Oracle, SAP, or similar) preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
