Senior Manager of FP&A

We are representing a leading fintech company focused on simplifying the payment experience for merchants across online, mobile, and in-person channels. With a global footprint and a rapidly evolving product suite, this organization is backed by private equity and continues to expand its influence in the digital payments space. Their culture emphasizes innovation, operational excellence, and data-driven decision-making in support of strategic growth.

As the Senior Manager of FP&A, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. This is a high-visibility role requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on execution. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to create models from scratch, guide financial analysis, and contribute directly to business performance tracking. The ideal candidate is not only a skilled financial leader but also thrives in the details—rolling up their sleeves to build, analyze, and refine financial models and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization’s annual budget and forecast cycles for revenue and expenses, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic planning and executive decision-making.
  • Analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Manage and mentor junior FP&A staff while remaining deeply involved in the day-to-day analysis and modeling work.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and executive teams to align financial planning with business initiatives.
  • Leverage financial systems and reporting tools to streamline data analysis and improve forecasting accuracy.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the payments or fintech industry.
  • Strong background in FP&A with proven ability to manage and execute core financial planning functions.
  • Demonstrated experience building financial models from scratch.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or Business Objects.
  • Hands-on leader capable of driving strategic insights while executing tactical deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and proactive approach in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
