Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking a Tax Accounting Senior Manager to lead the global tax provision process and support strategic tax planning and compliance initiatives. This newly created role is a key addition to a growing tax function and offers the opportunity to shape processes and drive improvements across a global footprint.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ASC 740, experience working in complex, multinational environments, and a proactive approach to process optimization. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction with leadership and cross-border teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of the global tax provision under ASC 740, including coordination of non-U.S. data, FIN 48 analysis, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Oversee tax account reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate documentation of tax positions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support tax forecasting and management reporting.
  • Provide technical guidance and review for income tax compliance, including provision-to-return analysis and deferred tax calculations.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and communicate implications to internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax reporting for proposed and completed transactions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audits related to tax provisions and capital expenditures.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments (flexible based on experience).
  • Deep knowledge of ASC 740 and global tax provision processes.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, multinational or private equity-backed organization.
  • Proficiency with large ERP systems; experience with OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is a plus.
