Role Summary
The Intersect Group is seeking a Tax Accounting Senior Manager to lead the global tax provision process and support strategic tax planning and compliance initiatives. This newly created role is a key addition to a growing tax function and offers the opportunity to shape processes and drive improvements across a global footprint.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ASC 740, experience working in complex, multinational environments, and a proactive approach to process optimization. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction with leadership and cross-border teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of the global tax provision under ASC 740, including coordination of non-U.S. data, FIN 48 analysis, and financial statement disclosures.
- Oversee tax account reconciliations and ensure timely and accurate documentation of tax positions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support tax forecasting and management reporting.
- Provide technical guidance and review for income tax compliance, including provision-to-return analysis and deferred tax calculations.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and communicate implications to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate tax reporting for proposed and completed transactions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits related to tax provisions and capital expenditures.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required); CPA strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax departments (flexible based on experience).
- Deep knowledge of ASC 740 and global tax provision processes.
- Experience working in a large, complex, multinational or private equity-backed organization.
- Proficiency with large ERP systems; experience with OneSource Tax Provision is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors is a plus.
