Workday HCM Functional Analyst

The Intersect Group is seeking a Workday HCM Functional Analyst for our direct client. This role is responsible for leading and driving technology initiatives ensuring that our customer is leveraging the most up-to-date functionality within the Workday ecosystem. This role will report to the Technology & Enablement Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to; managing twice a year upgrades, identifying how to leverage HR systems and/or application functionality more proactively to problem solve and serve the business, evaluation of system functionality, testing of system configuration changes, project management of small to mid-size HR projects, and supporting the development of integrations between Workday and both internal and external systems.

Responsibilities:
The goals and objectives of the Workday Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Align with colleagues throughout the business to develop best in class HRIS solutions to serve the business needs.
  • Provide support for the HRIS and other related systems such as troubleshooting, resolving HRIS performance issues, maintaining configuration of business rules and workflows, and ensuring overall data integrity.
  • Partner with business leads and colleagues to update and organize activities tied to the HRIS, including HCM, talent management, performance, compensation, succession planning, payroll, learning, onboarding, and benefits.
  • Provide consultation to the Services team leadership, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis
  • Research and recommend improvements to the existing system, prioritize backlog configurations, and recommend new tools or software programs to streamline processes while enhancing the end-user experience and enabling business
  • Management of both small and large scale projects that pertain to the Workday environment – including necessary training and comms.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities
    • Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday
    • Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
    • Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
    • Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations)
    • Serve as an escalation resource for Tier 2 & 3 issue
  • Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training in order to improve policy and process acumen

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have previous Workday experience and a demonstrated understanding of Workday configurations.
  • The ability to manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with both technical and end users.
  • Ability to own and drive efforts to standardize, optimize, and simplify processes and technical solutions.
  • Must have or obtain Workday Pro certification in core functional areas.
  • Previous HR experience, including HR operations and employee data management is highly desired.
